Data Entry & Processing Lead - Commercial (Hybrid)

We’re looking for an enthusiastic person with an in-depth knowledge of video games, a strong attention to detail and a head for numbers to fit into our Commercial Data team. This is a full time, hybrid role with 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home.

No Agencies Please!

Role & Responsibilities

Lead the weekly Price Monitoring function (PM) within Fancensus:

  • Work with the Commercial & Insights Manager and Development team to learn and understand the entire PM technical process supplemented by training where required.

  • Work with the Technical Operations Officer to identify any ‘workarounds’ that have been developed for retailers that sit outside of the standard PM process. In the first instance workarounds should be documented (how they work / where they reside etc). Secondly to work with the Technical Operations Officer and the Development team on solutions to bring workarounds back into the standard PM process where possible.

Work with the Commercial & Insights Manager in documenting the PM process within the Knowledge Base to include:

- How the standard PM process works
- The daily / weekly / monthly processes involved
- What ‘workarounds’ exist, how they work and where they sit
- Who owns each part of the PM process
- Data validation (detailed below)
- Common errors and how to fix them

- Maintain a weekly timetable to organize and manage staff assigned to PM each week. Take into account annual leave as well specific industry events; for example new release windows, Black Friday, Easter, E3 etc.

Work with the Commercial Insights Manager on developing and improving the weekly cadence of data validation checks that are carried out within PM. Ensure these solutions are focused on Fusion and not reliant on the use of Excel / Google Docs. For example:

- Zero priced products
- Missing days
- Missing / incomplete retailers
- Prices that are incorrect; too high / too low
- Currency conversion issues
- Ensure all key titles have no missing URLs by checking against Discoverability URLs and using release schedule
- Ensure all key titles have data checked for all dates, and make sure logged prices are up to date at least once per week for manual stores
- The data validation process should also encompass PM customers and new / upcoming AAA / A titles reviewed on a weekly basis.

Identify the top retail sites returning the highest frequency of manual entries and work with the Commercial Insights Manager and the Development team to improve these. We are aiming for a 95% 1st time success rate on a consistent basis:

- Broken pricing links to be fixed within 3 days
- Broken retailer rulesets to be fixed within 1 week
- Manual entry workarounds attempted to be resolved within 2 weeks and raised to Development if not possible.
- Work with Technical Operations Officer to ensure all new retailer issues are logged, including those that are fixed on the spot.

  • Work to create and maintain a monthly dashboard using the tools available to you at Fancensus to monitor the overall performance of PM and that can be made use of within the monthly Leadership Team Meetings to assess the overall health of the PM product.

  • Work actively with the Admin Team Manager ensuring both areas of the Fancensus business units are synchronized where both areas overlap. Take advantage of possible synergies between teams; for example:

- Ensure pricing exists for all new releases titles.
- Ensure all new / upcoming AAA titles and client titles are set to priority titles.
- Product checks; such as edition linking for film and games.
