It will come as no surprise to anyone that the overall amount of PR this week has dropped quite considerably since week 24, as we we’re a whole week post E3. We see lots of change for week 25 as six titles have dropped out, just making an appearance for one, big, E3 week!
Holding onto first place is Cyberpunk 2077 with 19.2% of press still talking about Event / Conference with regards this title. In-Game Features comes next with 17.7% of the coverage, then thanks to Keanu still getting plenty of column inches, Celebrity / Key Influencer / Streamer comes in third with 8.8% of the PR.
Fortnite is back near the top, moving up four places into second. It hasn’t been out of the top ten yet this year! In-Game features is its biggest PR topic, accounting for 12.6% of coverage. In-Game Event comes next with 10.1% of the PR, as press are eagerly following the progression of season 9. Next up, taking an 8.9% slice of the PR is eSports, as support for the professional aspect of this game continues to rise.
We see a debut at three from Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. Unsurprisingly Launch Details take up a huge 36.7% of the games PR. Guide / How To / Walkthrough is the second most covered subject at 27.4%, then there’s a big drop to 6.5%, where we see In-Game Features.
Falling down two spots into fourth is the Final Fantasy VII remake. Again there’s still plenty of press covering the happenings at E3, making Event / Conference the biggest topic at 23.2%. Development Details, thanks to the revelation that the title is also coming to next gen consoles, comes in as the second biggest topic at 11.4%. Screenshots / Artwork also high up the list, accounting for 10.4% of PR, owing to high quality new screens being released.
Returning to the top ten at number five, after a two week hiatus is Pokemon Go. Launch Details with 33.6% of the PR was the most talked about topic, however, this is solely because Pokemon Go was merely mentioned or referenced in a large percentage of articles that were actually about Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.
A new entry at number six is Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night with a newly released Launch Trailer taking up most of the PR at 17.4%.
Another debut at seven is Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled. Review takes the biggest chunk of the PR at 19.3%, and as it stands now the average World Wide score for the game is 83.8%. Launch Details comes in second with 13.1% of the overall coverage, then we see Trailer / Video / Gameplay at 9.1%.
Mortal Kombat 11 reappears at eight, we last saw it in the top ten in week 22. This time In-Game Features takes up most of it press at 17.1%, then we see In-Game Event with 10.9% of the PR, as the Kombat League went live. Also quite high is Sales / Player Numbers with 9.8% thanks to its continued presence in several charts.
League of Legends pops back into the top ten at number nine, all thanks to eSports which accounts for a massive 40.5% of all of its coverage.
lastly moving down one place to take the final spot is The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with In-Game Features being the most reported on, taking up 25% on the PR. Then comes DLC / Content Update at 16.3%, predominantly due to it being mentioned in articles about other games, mostly press of Cyberpunk 2077, that for some reason or another refers to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt at some point in the article.
All missing this week, that appeared just for week 24 are Watch Dogs Legion, Marvel’s Avengers, Doom Eternal, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, The Breath Of The Wild Sequel and Elden Ring.
