We need a talented Full Stack Developer to join our development team in Blackpool, UK.

Full Time, Permanent (Hybrid)
Based in Blackpool with the option of working from home part of the week.

Overview

We’re looking for a Full Stack developer to fit in with our current team members to help expand and improve our bespoke, pioneering analytics software. Includes the backend system, our internal facing UI used by other departments to enter, track, clean and process some of our data, a separate client facing UI, along with a big new project we’re yet to announce.

Working as part of our development team to support the requirements of the company and our external clients, the role will involve integrating various third-party API’s and services, plus will require the developer to analyse current applications and processes, formulate more efficient ones, troubleshoot, solve problems and create a more seamless system. The successful candidate will need to be able to implement new ideas that have been requested by other areas of the company, also bug fix, with an element of testing. Additionally we’d like someone who would be able to add their own input into ideas and improvements.

Required Skills:

  • PHP 7 (OOP / MVC)
  • MySQL
  • HTML
  • CSS
  • JavaScript (jQuery / Bootstrap)
  • Version Control (Subversion or Git)
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Good communication and relationship skills

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of MVC (Laravel / Lumen)
  • Exposure to Elastic Search
  • Linux Server Experience (Redhat / Centos)
  • Previous experience working with APIs
  • Test Driven Development
  • Continuous Integration

Nice To Have:

  • Angular JS (1.x preferable) (or other Javascript Frameworks)
  • Experience working with large data sets
  • Good knowledge of video games and the video games industry
