Apex Legends Retains Top Spot Week 8
Apex Legends sits top for the third week running with Fortnite also maintaining its position at number two. Both of which having quite a varied spread of PR for week eight 2019.
Anthem moves up three places into third with just over 18% of PR covering the recently discovered bug that sends new players straight into the final boss battle! Almost 15% are reviews, followed by Guides/How Tos accounting for just under 12%.
In fourth, up six from tenth the previous week is Call Of Duty: Black Ops IIII. Little over 15% of its PR focused on the new trailer that was released, while 13.6% covered launch details of new content.
Metro Exodus drops two places into the number five spot, its PR is widespread and varied, comprising many different subjects, however, reviews still have the largest slice at 11.3%.
Overwatch jumps back into the top 10 for the first time since week two this year with around 20% of press talking about the latest map to be released, then eSports comes next taking up over 16%.
A huge 37.3% of its total PR reporting on and dissecting the newly released live action trailer keeps Tom Clancy’s: The Division 2 in the top 10 for the fourth week running. It’s still not released for another couple of weeks, can Ubisoft keep the momentum going until then?
Falling four positions into eighth is Far Cry New dawn. Reviews still account for the largest chunk of the PR, taking up 14.4%, though at 14.2% sell through details aren’t far behind and guides/how Tos are not far off either, taking 11.3% of the overall coverage.
Kingdom Hearts III comes next at number nine with sales & chart positions topping the subject matter and accounting for nearly 16% of its PR, followed by coverage for the new promotional accolades trailer that was released, which comes in just shy of 14%.
Jump Force perhaps hasn’t been performing as well as hoped sales wise but it’s still receiving enough PR to just about keep it in the top 10 for a second week. Announcing DLC details has definitely aided this with over 17% of its PR covering this. Still lots of reviews too, they take up 15.4% of the overall coverage.
Crackdown 3 has dropped out after two weeks in the top 10, Rainbow Six: Siege has also fallen off the list having been at number nine the previous week. No debuts this week!
